Custom short links: a name people remember instead of random characters

Regular short links use a random code. A custom short link lets you choose the name after the slash, such as glacat.com/my-shop — ideal for business cards, posters, social bios or simply saying out loud. Custom short links on Glacat are completely free; just sign in with your Google account.

Naming rules

Brand names and offensive language

Names must not contain offensive, discriminatory, hateful or sexual language, and must not impersonate other people, brands, government bodies or Glacat. A link using a brand name may only point to that brand’s official website; sharing images or videos under a brand name may require manual review.

Name not available? Request it with one click

If the name you want is blocked by the rules but you have a legitimate use for it (for example, it’s your shop’s name), you can send a request with a short note in one click. While it’s under review the name is held for you alone and counts as 1 of your 3; once approved it goes live immediately, and its expiry starts from approval. You can cancel a request from your dashboard at any time.

Where it works well

Shop websites and online menus, event sign-up forms, portfolios, podcasts and YouTube channels, and QR codes on printed material. Combined with Glacat’s free click analytics, you can see how much traffic each channel brings.
